Budget Hotels Malaysia started in 2019 as a personal project born from frustration. While planning my first extended trip through Malaysia, I struggled to find reliable information about truly budget-friendly accommodation. Most travel blogs featured mid-range hotels or sponsored content that did not reflect the reality of traveling on a tight budget.
After spending six months exploring Malaysia on less than $35 per day, I documented everything: the hidden guesthouses, the local tips for finding deals, the neighborhoods where budget travelers actually stay. What began as a personal travel journal has grown into a resource used by thousands of travelers each year.
Today, our small team continues to travel throughout Malaysia, updating guides and discovering new budget gems. Every recommendation comes from personal experience or verified community feedback. We never accept payment for reviews, and we clearly disclose any affiliate relationships.
